Abstract

The book contains texts from the Gospel of Mark, translated into the Ngombe language as part of missionary and educational efforts aimed at making Christian texts available to local populations in their own language. It also represents an important linguistic and historical document, reflecting the use of a local language in recording and translating religious texts in the Congo during the early twentieth century.
