Abstract
This is the story of what happened to three Welshmen when they returned to the small Welsh village of Pentre-bychan Tanybwich. They came to pick up once more the threads they had dropped when they went to seek their fortunes in America.
John Morris had enough money now to build the fine house he had always promised the wife and children he hardly knew; Richard Lloyd was in a position to bring true his youthful dream of wedded bliss with Annie Jenkins, now a rosy-checked widow; Thomas Hughes would at last atone for a past sin and salve his conscience.
