Abstract

تولى مكتبات الشارقة العامة دورًا متعدد الأوجه، ليس فقط كمزود للمعلومات ولكن أيضًا كمساهم في جهود التحرير والنشر. وتماشيًا مع هذه الرؤية، شرعت إدارة مكتبات الشارقة العامة في رحلة تحويلية، حيث أعادت تصور منشوراتها من تنسيق المجلة التقليدية إلى مجلة علمية قوية. تطورت مجلة الشارقة للمكتبات والمعلومات، التي كانت معروفة سابقًا بالمدخلات الببليوغرافية والأخبار المحلية، لتصبح منصة تدعم الخطاب العلمي والتقدم في علوم المكتبات. في هذه المرحلة التنشيطية، تتبنى المجلة نموذجًا معرفيًا يعكس المشهد الحالي للبحث العلمي في علم المكتبات. وهو بمثابة مستودع لتوثيق إنجازات قطاع المكتبات وإدارتها ضمن السياقات المجتمعية والمتخصصة.

Sharjah Public Libraries (SPL) embraces a multifaceted role, not only as a provider of information but also as a contributor to editorial and publishing endeavours. In line with this vision, SPL has embarked on a transformative journey, reimagining its publication from a traditional magazine format into a robust scientific journal. Formerly known for bibliographic entries and local news, the Sharjah Libraries & Information Journal has evolved into a platform that champions scholarly discourse and advances in library science. In this revitalized phase, the journal adopts a cognitive model that mirrors the current landscape of scientific research in library science. It serves as a repository for documenting the achievements of library management within societal and specialized contexts.
